Hey, I'm Gemma,

A Game Writer and Narrative Designer.
I am currently working on an Unannounced project at High Moon Studios (Activision). I previously contributed to the writing, design, and implementation of the narrative of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. Before joining the Call of Duty franchise, I led the narrative efforts for several indie games, including Echo of the Last Light, available on Steam.

AAA Training & Education

I was trained by the leading industry AAA veterans in both game writing (in-game and cinematics) and the technical aspects of narrative design, such as C# dialogue scripting, branching narratives, level-focused narrative design, and narrative systems. I hold a Master's Degree in Entertainment Arts & Engineering from the University of Utah's Game's Division and a Bachelor's Degree in Creative Writing with a minor in Film. 

Love for Story

I am always immersed in storytelling, both at work and in my free time. I have a soft spot for flawed characters, strange worlds, social and ethical dilemmas, and deep psychological themes. I enjoy infusing my writing with a touch of (dark) humor. The rich history and vibrant culture of my hometown, Florence, Italy, constantly inspires my writing.
